Science And Spanish Club Goose Island State Park, (The Big Tree) Rockport, Texas The Science and Spanish Club (SSC) is a club sponsored by The Gulf of Mexico Foundation whose goal is to increase awareness and encourge stewardship along Gulf Coast communities. Students volunteer and participate in various activities throughout the years such as, paticipating in Adopt-A-Beach Cleanups, Earth Day Bay Day Events, parades, and restoration projects. Students also take educational Field trips to various locations such as the South Texas Nuclear Power Plant and this year we will be including learning opportunities at the Welder Wildlife Foundation. This will be the 3rd year of the SSC and the club has a full schedule of learning and stewardship opportunities for the 2008-2009 school year. The Club Sponsors are Bonnie Perez and Robert Torres.
