Photojournalism Portfolio2009-2010 Photojournalism Portfolio Requirements:
As student a in the Photojournalism course at Sinton HS, you must submit a portfolio of your personal work at the end of the year. Your presentation should consist of any combination of black and white or color photographs. Your portfolio should contain 15 to 20 of your most creative images. In addition to your photographic portfolio you may also present work in other mediums. All photographs in your portfolio presentation will be processed (photoshopped) and printed yourself. Your portfolio presentation should be organized, image quality should be consistent and represent areas of personal interest to you. You do not have to show what you consider to be fashion or advertising images. Assemble your portfolio to tell us what you would like us to know about you and your particular vision of the world. Evaluation of your work will be based on the following criteria: 1. Your sense of design, imagination and creativity. 2. Your interest in diverse types of subject matter. 3. A willingness to be experimental (whether successful or not on the first attempt). 4. Your ability to communicate complex ideas visually. 5. The organization, neatness and care that you take in presenting your portfolio. Also part of your portfolio package: include an Artist Statement... a one page essay introducing yourself, what you learned in photojournalism, and a brief discussion on your most important piece. Students will present their final portfolio at the end of the year in a PowerPoint Presentation. Supplies: 1. Black Portfolio (may be a plastic folder with brads) 2. Flash Drive 3. 2.00 fee is required for the purchase of other materials such as: photo paper, ink (black & colored), and plastic page protectors.
