Assignments

Late and Missing Assignments:
Are located in the English II & Pre-AP folders in the front of the room. At the end of each week, assignments will be archived.

Make-Up Work:
If a student is absent and cannot give prior notification, he/she is responsible for finding out what was missed and for turning in all assignments. Students will be given two days for each day of absence to turn in make up work. After two days, the work falls under the category of late work and will be assessed as such. Students should contact the teacher prior to planned absences in order to get their work ahead of time and turn it in upon the day that they return, therefore protecting them from being overwhelmed with make up work.

Late work:
Students will be expected to turn in all assignments on the day that they are due, at the beginning of class. There will be an 11 point deduction each day after the due date that the work is late. A maximum deduction of 50% will be assessed for late work over 5 days old. However, all late assignments that are still missing at the end of each three week cycle will be marked as zero, and there will be no chance to receive credit for that assignment. Communication is key… do not wait until the day before or the day of the assigned due date to let the teacher know there is a problem.

If you have further questions; please consult your class syllabus. You may also contact Mrs. Pena for further details.
