Purpose
The purpose of the T-STEM program is to establish academies that are designed to increase student achievement by engaging students through innovative science and math instructional techniques. The academies are also intended to act as demonstration sites to improve math and science teaching and learning statewide. Every academy will provide students with outstanding science and math instruction as part of a rigorous, well—rounded education that integrates technology across the curriculum.
This rigorous, innovative and college-focused program involves a high degree of interactive involvement, energized classroom environments, and a small school setting that emphasizes quality relationships between students and teachers to create an optimal environment for success.
