The students in Mrs. Patterson’s Advisory Class experimented with color, texture, and design.  They were asked to choose a still life photo of a flower from an assortment provided.  The students were then asked to sketch as closely as possible what they saw in the chosen photo.  Once this was accomplished, the paints and brushes began to fly!

PostHeaderIcon NHS Beach Cleanup

Volunteers at the Sixth Annual Coastal bend Winter Cleanup braved a bone chilling cold to remove more than 5.4 tons of trash.

Volunteers focused their efforts on Corpus Christi Beach at the Texas State Aquarium, Port Aransas, & Padre Island National Seashore.

Among the volunteers for the Adopt-a-Beach program cleaning North Beach  were 9 student members from Sinton High School’s chapter of the National Honor Society.

Construction and renovations at the Welder Elementary campus is one step closer to commencing after the Sinton ISD board of trustees approved the district’s architect’s design development drawings on Monday.

Trustees heard from Ferrell-Brown & Associates representatives David Brown and Tom Mustard this week who presented the latest set of revised plans and drawings which received unanimous approval ahead of the letting of bids to attract subcontractors for the project.

A dozen students from Sinton High School have done it again.
This weekend, after months of preparation and studying, attending two practice meets and placing second at Regionals, the local Academic Decathlon team has qualified yet again and will travel to San Antonio to compete at the state meet.
This marks the 22nd year SHS has advanced to the Texas Academic Decathlon since forming a team and establishing a program for students to compete 24 years ago, said Linda Dietz, one of four faculty coaches who has led teams to three state championships during her tenure.
